In Canada, the foundation develops programs that support newcomer women, refugees, and persons with disabilities through skills training, community integration, and employment-support initiatives.

In conflict-affected regions, particularly Afghanistan, the foundation focuses on supporting education for disadvantaged children and youth, especially girls who have been deprived of educational opportunities.

The foundation also supports school construction, educational resources, and assistance to students in underserved communities.

Several schools located in underserved regions of Afghanistan have contacted the Smart International Charity Foundation and shared their educational challenges and urgent needs. The most notable schools include the following:

1. Sangshandeh High School

Sangshandeh High School is located in Markaz Behsud District, Maidan Wardak Province, Afghanistan. The school faces significant challenges related to basic infrastructure and educational resources.

The most urgent needs of this school include:

• Construction of a deep water well (approximately 150 meters) to provide safe drinking water

• Development of green space within the school area

• Provision of science laboratory equipment to improve the quality of education for students

Addressing these needs will significantly improve the learning environment and educational opportunities for students.

2. Kohna Qala Sangshandeh Middle School

Kohna Qala Sangshandeh Middle School is another school in the region facing serious infrastructure challenges.

Currently, students are forced to study outdoors in extremely harsh conditions, enduring both intense heat during summer and severe cold during winter.

The local community is economically disadvantaged but highly supportive of education, yet they lack the financial resources necessary to construct proper school facilities.

3. Ajam Sangshandeh Primary and Middle School

Ajam Sangshandeh Primary and Middle School is one of the schools  that lacks a standard educational building.

in the current  year, the local people, through their efforts and meager resources, have purchased 3500bricks;however,they no longer have the financial capacity (to continue)yet, this school remains in desperate need.    

Conclusion

The Smart International Charity Foundation aims to collaborate with donors, humanitarian organizations, and international partners to improve educational infrastructure and support students in underserved communities in Afghanistan.
